The Sauce Brothers (Rcp# 0015)

A grill shop quartet of different tones. Perfect background for … everything that needs to be sauced up a little.

Ingredients for ‘Sauce Brothers’

Brother 1 ‘Creamichael’

  • 100 g cream cheese (plant-based)
  • 3 – 5 tablespoons oat yogurt (depends on consistency of cream cheese)
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • pinch of salt (mild)

Brother 2: ‘Mustandreo’

  • 100 g coconut yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons of mustard (mild)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (mild, mixed flowers)
  • 2 tablespoons olive water (from olive jar)
  • 1 knife point dried ginger
  • ½ teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup
  • 1 tablespoon rice syrup

Brother 3: ‘Avocatoni’

  • 1 ripe avocado, scared out and mashed
  • 3 tablespoons apple pulp
  • 1 teaspoon bear’s garlic in oil
  • 1 teaspoon of pistaccio oil
  • hunch of dried ginger powder
  • 70 – 100 ml of cold water (to smooth sauce)

Brother 4: ‘Barboquentin’

  • 1 handful of fresh herbs, crushed with a cradle knife: Sage, Thyme, Basil, Oregano
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple pulp
  • 3 teaspoons tomato pulp
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 70 – 100 ml of lukewarm water (to smooth sauce)

Preparations for ‘Sauce Brothers’

  1. Join ingredients of each sauce and each stir well and put into jar with lid.
  2. Let first three sauces (brothers 1 – 3) stand with closed lid in fridge for at least one hour before serving.
  3. Last Sauce (brother 4) let stand in kitchen with moderate temperature with half open lid for half an hour (herbs develop taste better), then put into fridge (with lid on) for at least another hour before serving.

Each sauce should have a creamy consistency at the end, not too watery.

Side Notes:

  • These guys crossed my path when I was making food for friends to come over for dinner. To have enough time to talk and enjoy their company I came up with the [Garden Pan]. A family and friends’ classic by now.
  • You might be wondering, why I do not publish pictures of the dishes I invent or make. The answer to that mystery is typical for me: I followed an inspiration (see [‘Nutrition – what’s in it for me?’])
