Light and Day

After a long summer, the fourth season has finally arrived on the scene. Not always calm, but ever beautiful (Editorial Autumn-Edition 2024)

As the days dwindle in the closing quarter of the year, the quality of the light changes once again. It’s a rainbow reflection of late bloom, full ripening and decay.

But while there is always some melancholy in watching nature’s green retreat and gold turn bluish-grey, a promise of another shimmer is approaching. The season of festive celebrations and holidays.

This year’s Autumn-Edition of the Parsley-Lane Blog is, for the first time, bringing back ideas and concepts that I tried out last year. Thus creating traditions that I am very happy and proud of: We’ll explore typical ingredients of the season and work on recipes to turn some of the late year’s bounty into edible delight. Rounding it all off with a seasonal Table Talk, a Festive Menu, and a concluding ‘Wrapped up with a Bow’.

And of course, you will be part of the adventure as Hanano and Salty face the odds high up on Purple Peak in the final four episodes of ‘Salty & Cara’. Our juicy fable set in a world of fruits and vegetables. Not to mention, there will be a Christmas double feature – in a similar manner as last year. Although this time the procedure might be a little different.

So let’s dive into the coming weeks of contemplative joy, sharing and celebration. Brightening the nights with compassion. Coloring the days with friendship and good food.
